Zac Posen ~ M

I've always been a fan of Zac Posen's elegant and elaborate gowns, and his fall 2014 collection did not disappoint. His new collaboration with David's Bridal, however, was not exactly what I had hoped. Now the gowns are beautiful, but not all of the dresses are not made to fit on most body types. See because that's the thing about the gowns at David's Bridal, the majority of them look good on all body types. Even the designer collections are made to be worn by the everyday woman, keeping in mind that most women are not stick thin and six feet tall. There was one dress in particular (the first two pictures below) that annoyed me the most, it's a fit and flare with with a ton of seams, now in the rest of the collection seams that were positioned on the thigh and lower stomach area were avoided but this dress had them, and it made the dress impossible to wear without the fabric pulling near the seams. It even happens on the model that they show on the website so imagine that one someone shorter, or someone with a bum? Now don't get me wrong the dress is gorgeous but if you plan on moving on your wedding day it's probably not your best bet.
The dresses are unlike anything David's Bridal has seen, and I'm hoping that, despite the few dresses that don't seem like they will be easy to sell to all women, they will do well.

Truly Zac Posen

Exclusively for David's Bridal

See what I mean about the seams?
And this is on the model.

This dress is a similar style to the first one
but the lack of seams around the upper thighs makes it
much easier to wear. And wait until you see the back.

I absolutely adore the beading at the top of this dress.

Zac Posen Fall 2014

LOVE THIS

I'm not one to save the best for last,
but how amazing is this dress?
