Joan Rivers: Celebrating a Lifetime of Laughter

Today we lost the beloved Joan Rivers. She was a beautiful mind, a stylish lady and a comedic icon. Everyone who has ever met and/or worked with her have said that she is one of the nicest people they've ever met, and although I never had the opportunity to meet her she really influenced my life and I know I'm not alone in that. Joan has been someone I've looked up to for as long as I can remember, but I really fell in love with her when Fashion Police began to air on E!. Watching this magnificent woman every Friday night for the past 4 years has been the ultimate treat. I think one of Joan's greatest qualities was the ability to make her audience and those who met her feel like you knew her, like she was a friend. To me she has really been this kind of grandmother figure, one that I could always look forward to seeing once a week on my tv screen. I was never lucky enough to have a close relationship with any of my grandparents, but until today I hadn't realized how much I considered Joan to be the band-aid on that wound of mine. Joan taught me so much, she made me laugh when I was down and even revived my love of fashion when I didn't even feel the motivation to keep up with it. I can only hope that I am lucky enough to have a tenth of the success that Joan had, and not in just in fame. She was a successful mother and grandmother, she was successful in her career and in leaving behind a beautiful legacy. She will never be forgotten and we will never stop asking "Who are you wearing?"

We love you Joan.
